Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases is dedicated to the interests of the entire community of IBD patients and is designed to meet the educational needs of all healthcare professionals who treat and manage patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.

We believe the growth and success of Advances in IBD comes from our dedication to offering a comprehensive scientific agenda that is clinically relevant, scientifically state of the art, and the most effective in addressing the educational needs of attendees, while always remaining focused on the goal of enhancing the lives of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.

Historical Timeline

2002 Imedex launches the Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases conference in New York, New York, chaired by Dr. Richard MacDermott.
2003 The conference moves to a new location: Chicago, Illinois.
2004 Dr. Stephen Hanauer joins AIBD as Co-Chair. The conference grows to an attendance of over 300, with presentations by 24 faculty experts.
2005 AIBD heads for warmer climates, relocating to southern Florida. Under the successful leadership of the esteemed Co-Chairs and developing a world-class program, AIBD continues to grow to record numbers.
2006 For the first time, Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases breaks the 500 attendee ceiling.
2008 In just two short years, AIBD doubles its attendance to over 1000.
2014 Fast forward to 2014, and AIBD, having outgrown all of the surrounding venues, relocates to Orlando, Florida. With 64 faculty experts, over 100 educational presentations and 296 abstracts, AIBD educates over 1900 attendees in its new home.
2016 Once again, Imedex’s AIBD conference continues to host a record number of attendees who flock to the conference to network with their colleagues, experience cutting-edge education, and learn state-of-the-art methods for improving patient care.
2017 The legacy continues. Join us for AIBD 2017!
